In Vega, you can add, close, or remove an attribute across multiple contacts at once.
Before you begin
You’ll need a defined list of contacts to apply the change to. This can be created using:
- The Custom Query tool
- A Vega preset query
- An imported contact list
Once your list or query is ready, open it from the Contacts tab.
Applying bulk attribute changes
In the results screen, select More, then choose Insert Attribute.
This will open the bulk attribute action window.
From here, you will need to select:
- The attribute type
- The specific attribute you want to update
Available actions
Add an attribute
To add a new attribute to all contacts in your selection:
- Select the attribute
- (Optional) Configure additional fields such as:
- Start date
- End date
- Value (This is a text field for additional details)
- Comment (This is a text field for additional details)
- Associated campaign
- Status
- Click Add to apply the attribute to all contacts in the result set
Remove an attribute
To remove an attribute from all contacts:
- Select the attribute
- Click Remove
Close an attribute
To mark an attribute as closed on all contacts:
- Select the attribute
- Click Close
Important note
This action updates contact records directly and does not modify the underlying query criteria used to generate the list.
Before processing, Vega will display a confirmation warning. Please review this carefully before clicking OK.
Alternative access
You can also access this functionality directly from the Contacts tab by using the dropdown options available on your query or list results.
Additional information
This feature is designed for efficient bulk updates to a single attribute across multiple contacts.
If you need to add multiple different attributes, it is recommended to use the Attribute Import template instead.
