The Give a little template provided by Give a Little is used to import a standard Give a little payment extract into Vega.
| NOTE you must convert the Give a Little extract file from CSV to XLS or XLSX before importing into Vega. |
The data import will:
- Create new contacts with associated payments or
- Create payments against existing contacts
A new contact record will be created for every row in the upload file where there is no existing contact in Vega with an exact match on the email address.
If there is a matching Contact record in Vega then the record will be merged into the existing one.
The import does check for duplicate records within a load file, if there are multiple records with the same email address in the same upload file it will merge these into a single contact record.
A system created Attribute will be added to every Contact created by the Import identifying the Import Name and date the Contact was imported. The name assigned to each Import should be unique so that you have visibility of which import created the Contact record.
