Add a Supporter-Led Fundraising Payment

Supporter-Led Fundraising allows you to record a donation that was made because of another supporter or fundraising team.

For example:

Example: Sarah donates $50 because John is running a marathon. The payment is recorded against Sarah as the donor and linked to John as the Fundraiser.

The payment is recorded against the donor while also recognising the Fundraiser and/or Team responsible for generating the donation.

This feature is ideal for peer-to-peer fundraising events such as fun runs, challenges, memorial fundraisers, or community fundraising campaigns.

Note: Assigning a Fundraiser or Team is optional. A payment can be linked to either, both, or neither.

Add a Supporter-Led Fundraising Payment

Navigation

Contacts → Add Payment

1. Open the supporter who is making the donation.
2. Click Add Payment.
3. Under Payment Type, select Supporter-Led Fundraising.

Assign a Fundraiser or Team

If applicable, link the donation to the supporter or team that inspired the donation.

1. Enter the name (or part of the name) of the Fundraiser, Team, or both.
2. Click Search.
3. Select the correct record from the search results.

Tip: You can assign:

• a Fundraiser only
• a Team only
• both a Fundraiser and Team
• neither (if you simply want to record the donation)

Complete the Payment

Complete the remaining payment details as you normally would, including:

• Pay Type
• Total Amount
• Campaign (if applicable)
• GL Code (if applicable)
• Receipt Details

Click Save to record the payment.

Viewing the Payment

After the payment has been saved, it can be viewed from multiple contacts.

Donor Record

On the donor's payment history, the payment displays together with the associated Fundraiser and Team.

Fundraiser or Team Record

When viewing the Fundraiser or Team contact, the donation appears in their payment history, showing who made the donation under the Fundraised tab.

Result

The donation is recorded against the donor while also being attributed to the selected Fundraiser and/or Team. The payment contributes to fundraising totals and can be reported on using the All Successful Payments preset query.

Reporting

Supporter-Led Fundraising payments can be identified using Vega Preset Queries.

• All Successful Payments Supporter-Led

All Successful Payments Supporter-Led preset query allows you to report on donations generated through supporter-led fundraising activities.

Supporter-Led Fundraising payments can also be identified using the All Successful Payments preset query.

The query includes columns for:

• Fundraiser
• Team
