Overview
The Event Widget lets you collect registrations, RSVPs, or ticket purchases for an event. You can customise the information displayed on the form, add terms and conditions, and automatically assign attributes to contacts who register or purchase tickets.
This article explains the Form Setup section of the Event Widget. For information about the other configuration options, see the related articles at the end of this guide.
Before You Begin
An Event Widget is created from an event in Engage. Before configuring the widget, you must first create either a Ticketed Event, RSVP Event or Raffle Event in Engage and select the option to create a widget.
Open the Event Widget
Event Widgets are created from an event in Engage.
For a Ticketed Event or RSVP Event, select the option to create a widget when creating or editing the event.
Once the event has been saved, you can access the widget configuration by selecting Configure beneath the widget code.
You can also access the widget at any time from Admin > Widget Configuration.
- Go to Admin > Widget Configuration.

Select Event to view your existing Event Widgets, then select Edit to open the widget configuration.
An Event Widget is created from an event in Engage. To create a new widget, you must first create either a Ticketed Event, RSVP Event or Raffle Event in Engage and select the option to create a widget.
Once you open the widget, the configuration options are displayed in the menu on the left.
Select Form Setup to configure the content displayed on your event form.

The detail for each field is explained below:

The widget name will initially be set to the event name. You can change it if required. The widget name is used to identify the widget within Vega and isn't displayed to attendees. Changing the widget name does not change the event itself. Select Save after making changes. |

You can display your terms and conditions on the event widget using a Vega document. When a terms and conditions document is selected, Vega automatically adds:
When the attendee selects the link, the document opens in a new webpage. |

Use this field to customise the text displayed next to the terms and conditions checkbox. The statement is only displayed when a terms and conditions document has been configured. For example, you can change View Terms and Conditions to Read our Terms and Conditions. |

Select a contact attribute to automatically add to every contact who registers or purchases tickets through this event widget. This can be useful for identifying contacts who have registered for a particular event or campaign. |
