Overview
The Donation Widget lets you collect online donations and gives you control over how the form looks, what information is displayed, and what donors need to agree to before submitting their donation.
This article explains the Form Setup section of the Donation Widget. For information about the other configuration options, see the related articles at the end of this guide.
Open the Donation Widget
- Go to Admin > Widget Configuration.
- To create a new widget, select Create Donation Widget.
- To edit an existing widget, find it in the Widget Name list and select Edit.
Once you open the widget, the configuration options are displayed in the menu on the left.
Select Form Setup to configure the content displayed on your donation form.

Enter a name for your widget, then select Save. The widget name is used to identify the widget within Vega and isn't displayed to donors. |

You can display your terms and conditions on the donation widget using either a Vega document or a website URL. When you add either option, Vega automatically adds:

Use this field to customise the text of the link displayed to donors. For example, you can change View Terms and Conditions to Read our Terms and Conditions. |

Use this field to customise the text displayed next to the checkbox. The statement is only displayed when a terms and conditions document or website URL has been configured. |

Select a contact attribute to automatically add to every contact who makes a donation through this widget. This can be useful for identifying donors who have submitted a donation through a particular campaign, event, or donation form. |

Add text or other content to display below the Submit button on the donation widget. This can be used for additional information, acknowledgements, or instructions for donors. |

|
Enter the webpage URL where the donation widget is embedded. This is optional and is used for internal reference. It can be particularly useful when your organisation has multiple donation widgets and you need to keep track of where each widget is being used. |
