Email Address Updates

We all know that common spelling mistakes can cause a big problem with data, this is no different when it comes to email addresses. Whether it's human error in processing or the contact themself including a typo, data entry mistakes are unavoidable.

If you have an incorrect email address in vega then they won't be receiving your newsletters, updates, or receipts and this can translate to a loss in donations or membership payments.

We have a function in vega to correct known spelling errors with email addresses so that when these are entered in vega they will be corrected and the contact will still receive your next email campaign. This email correction function is run every few hours to catch any new errors.

The email corrections are recorded in the audit log, this can be seen from Admin > Audit Log and the audit log on the contact.

Below is a list of all errors corrected in this overnight function. We will continue to add to this as more common mistakes are identified.
